Free Home Care Consultation with a Nurse!

home care consultation bruce greyDiscuss your Home Care options with a Nurse, in a free, no-obligation, consultation!

The time has arrived at which point it has become necessary to begin making decisions related to securing help to address the medical or personal needs of yourself or your loved one. Working through the extensive information that is available related to home care services and how they can impact your life in a positive way can be daunting.

At Retire-At-Home, our complimentary nurse consultations are intended to offer a setting in which you can talk through the many topics that are on your mind and can pose any questions, as our home care professionals collect the information that we require to design and present a personalized plan that will suit you. The visit for an in-home nurse consultation can be scheduled to take place at almost any time you choose, and will take place in your own personal setting. Whether you reside in a retirement home, live in your own house and need assistance around the house, or are currently in the hospital and are making plans to return home, our Nurse Case Managers will meet you where you are so they can address any questions and concerns you may have.

When can I book this Consultation with the Nurse?

Feeling ready? So are we! Your appointment can be scheduled as soon as you’re available!

Need immediate care? We are typically able to organize the consultation within only a few hours! The delivery of care can usually begin within a period of less than 24 hours, and can often start on the same day if necessary.

Planning ahead? If your situation is less pressing or urgent, we can plan the consultation days or weeks in advance, at your availability. We will work around your schedule to determine the best time.

We will try to arrange a meeting with you even outside of normal business hours, so evening and weekend consultations are also an option.

What do we discuss during the Free Consultation?

The free consultation is usually about an hour in length, but we do not put any constraints on the discussion and will never charge even in cases where the meeting takes more time. Our Nurses take ample time to get acquainted with you and the specifics of your personal health and home environment so that they can build you a personalized plan of care. Your plan will be designed based upon your medical requirements and personal preferences, and will be planned in a way that respects your monthly budget. Being honest and open with our nurses is essential during this initial meeting so that the plan that is developed is based on a true and well-rounded understanding of your situation in its entirely.

During the Consultation, we will discuss your:
  • Personal preferences and desires regarding the type of service you want (i.e. days of the week, personality of the caregiver, etc.)
  • Personal information and emergency contacts.
  • Monthly budget and the costs of the recommended or needed services.
  • Medical history, current medical needs, medications and treatments.
  • Home environment to make sure that your home support needs and safety are properly addressed.
We will also explore:
  • Possible subsidies that may be available.
  • Possible start times and dates of the service.
